El Limon Waterfall
Highest Waterfall in Samana Peninsula.
This beautiful and very secluded Waterfall is located 20 Kilometers away ( 25 minutes drive ) from the Town and Port of Samana and only 15 minutes from Las Terrenas. To get to the Cascada El Limon Waterfall we will enjoy a ride in our Air Conditionned Minivan trough the lush mountains of the Samana Peninsula dotted with many small villages and beautiful country side scenery.
Upon our arrival to the ranch of Cascada Limon , we will rest and enjoy a delicious Dominican coffee.
For those of you who are in very good physical shape you can choose to hike the trails ( it takes about 50 minutes ) thrue the small hills enjoying the natural beauty and various fruit trees such as coconut, coffee, cacao, avocado, mango, and banana all the way to the secluded Cascada Limon Waterfall. The prefered way is to rent a horse and go Horse Back riding ( it takes about 25 minutes ) to the highest waterfall in Samana Peninsula.
The first sight of this 120 feet tall Waterfall ( about 40 meters ) will take your breath away. We will spend about an hour relaxing there and enjoying a nice swim in the cool refreshing waters of the natural pool of Cascada El Limon. Do not forget your bathing suit and camera !
